1. Welcome and opening comments - Pat
2. Proposal for New Building at Cobden site-Rob and Izett
Izett and Rob outlined their idea to fund a new building at the Cobden site. This follows Izett's proposal that was sent around to board members. The idea is to use a municipal debenture to fund a building and the rent from that building to pay it off. Izett motioned to accept his proposal, seconded by Noreen, carried
The board will make a presentation to council in August
3. Application to LHIN for Money for renovations to Cobden site and extension to Beachburg site-John Jordan and Bonny Johnson
Pat reported that John has applied to LHIN for the renovations; Bonny and John are meeting next week
4. Correspondence
1Request for financial support for the CHC Summer Programme for Kids-Bonny
Bonny has requested from the board to help cover the cost of rent of space for kid's programmes in the summer. She is looking for $1000. Donna moved to pay the $1000, seconded by Daryl, carried.
2 Lease for Cobden site-John Jordan
The lease has been signed effective July 1st and any bills should be sent to Lanark for payment
3 School Book Bag Program -Bonny
Bonny sent information out about a school book challenge programme in which money is donated to help kids who cannot afford school supplies. Daryl suggested it is something that should be handled on a personal basis and Pat is to send out the information to board members
4 Whitewater Region-Annette Mantifel
A letter received from the council of Whitewater region stating that they will no longer be donating money to the WBCHC board, but will hold the annual donation in trust until we can get started on a new building
5 Cobden Site Health and Safety -Linda Simpson
Linda reported that Bonny said there was no hurry and that Brenda is in the process of getting it done

Rob is to send a get well card to Ron from the board

Bonny was presented with a 10 year pin at the Lanark AGM
Summer BBQ
The summer BBQ will take place at Izett's house on the 5th of August @5:30
